Stephen Juba Park is one of our favourite spots for Engagement and Wedding Photos! We’re a little bit biased since that’s where we picked for our wedding photos – so we are always more than happy when we get to shoot here!
We knew from our first meeting with Danielle and Dan that we were going to get along great! They were planning a brunch wedding reception (totally awesome!) and wanted to have a relaxed day hanging out with their closest friends and family. So it was only fitting that we planned a relaxed afternoon in the park with their two dogs.
We’ve said it before, but we love it when our couples bring their fur babies to their engagement sessions! They add a lot of laughter and who doesn’t love pets in photos?
This was one of our first spring engagement sessions of the year, and while the leaves hadn’t burst out yet, the sun was warm and the sky was beautiful. We were hoping to get a little bit closer to the river walk, but the Red River was still quite high. The geese were loving it – so much so, the squawked and flew off when we got too close.
After a little bit of dancing under the Waterfront Drive Train Bridge, we headed off to the Winnipeg Winter Club. Dan is a Chef, so it was super cool that we were able to take some photos as they got the pizza’s ready for their social that night.
We love being able to customize each of our couples engagement photos. These two were definitely super comfortable in the kitchen and their smiles say it all!
Danielle and Dan, we can’t wait for your wedding day!
Standing guard to make sure no one interferes!
But we thought you said we were going for a walk!!!
We laughed so hard when we say the dogs expression in this photo! Humph!
We think the geese were a little concerned with our presence – typical overprotective birds!
These are our favourite steps in Stephen Juba Park!
We’d love for you to check out Danielle & Dan’s engagement video too!!
