After having explored Souris, Manitoba with Diana & Steve for their engagement session, we were super excited for their St.Charles Country Club Winnipeg wedding! Knowing that they had a bit of an adventurous spirit, we knew that a dreary start to their wedding day wouldn’t deter them from having an awesome day!
We’ve gotten pretty good over the years learning how to read the weather forecast and track the radar like hawks, and we have to say it’s paid off! When we met Diana & Steve at the golf club, it was still drizzling a bit, but it looked like it was going to let up. We found a sheltered little spot on one of the tree lines trails for their first look just in case! One of our little secrets to beating the rain is that we bring a bunch of umbrellas with us for the wedding party – or we’re incredibly lucky!
As we walked around the course, the cloud started to lighten. At this point Steve made an executive decision that they were going to have their ceremony outside as they had originally planned. The staff had set up inside as a precaution, but they were super helpful and made the change for them.
We’re so glad they did! As Diana started walking down the aisle with her parents, the sun peaked through the clouds!
As the sun started to set, we snuck them out for a few more photos. We love taking our couples out for sunset photos because come on – prairie skies are so amazing! But it also allows our couples a quiet little moment to themselves to soak it all in before the party starts!
Diana & Steve, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day! We’re so happy for you!
